Welcome to the RAB Ringer, a monthly email sharing what's happening in your ringette community!

RINGETTE ALBERTA BOARD OF DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS OPEN!

Nominations for the 2024-2025 Ringette Alberta Board of Directors are now OPEN.

Want to Nominate yourself or someone else? Complete This Form

All nominations must be received by Thursday, March 21, 2024, at midnight (according to Bylaw 3.18 b)

The Ringette Alberta Nominating Committee and the Board of Directors will review all nominations and circulate all valid nominations to the Members no later than April 13 2024.

The election will be completed at the AGM on Sunday, May 5th.

It is a wonderful opportunity for you to share individuals who are truly making a difference.

CELEBRATING ALL THE HYPE!

This year we launched the "Hype not Hate" initiative to encourage positivity in the stands.

It has been an OVERWHELMING success!

The campaign has been shared by numerous associations, and even been adopted by Ringette Manitoba.

We are so proud that our ringette participants are true leaders in the world of sports.

Together you are changing the way spectators show up in the stands!

MESSAGES FROM RINGETTE CANADA

Rule Change Submissions are now live

Ringette Canada has entered into a formal rule change process. The form for submissions can be found HERE and will be live until June 1st, 2024. Those who previously submitted rule changes are asked to re-submit in an attempt to not overlook any items.

The rules submitted will then be discussed and developed by our Rule Change Committee and put into place for September 1st, 2025. We will open rule change submissions again in January 2027 to return to our previously agreed schedule.

Community Shout Outs

Our Communications team would love to feature more stories on our platforms (website, social, and newsletter) about the great work happening in your province. Everyone has a story to tell - from Indigenous Come Try Ringette in Chilliwack, to ringette demonstrations at professional hockey games in Ottawa, from ringette-themed treats at a bake sale in Dartmouth, to the Green Armband Initiative in Saskatchewan... and we want to hear about them all! This form will be left open and checked frequently, and can also be used by organizations and teams within your membership.
